The restaurant at Viña Concha y Toro — Pirque, Maipo Valley
The
Restaurant
Set within the original winery Don Melchor Concha y Toro built in 1883, the restaurant serves contemporary Chilean cooking built around what the Maipo Valley and the fields of Pirque give us.
A seasonal menu grounded in local produce — empanadas of Chilean beef, Pacific abalone, Patagonian lamb cooked over fire — paired with the house's icon wines: Don Melchor, Marqués de Casa Concha, Casillero del Diablo, Trío Reserva. A table with history, for anyone who came looking for where Chilean wine began.

The original winery · 1883 A table with history
Don Melchor de Concha y Toro founded the winery in 1883 in Pirque, at the heart of the Maipo Valley. To keep the curious away from his best barrels, he let word spread that the devil himself lived among them — and the legend of Casillero del Diablo was born.
Bodega 1883 takes its name from that founding moment: contemporary Chilean cooking in conversation with the house's icon wines and the produce of the Maipo Valley — where history pulls up a chair.
Bodega 1883 partnerships
Since 2008 we've worked with a small group of growers and makers to keep the produce fresh and the quality high. Choosing Chilean is at the centre of what we do.
"We're driven by a commitment to regenerative, conscious, sustainable farming — one that respects the land, its surroundings and the people who work it."
